Nicola, Davvero Calalta Riesling
REGION: Mussolente, Veneto
GOOD TO KNOW: “Calalta” is a family winery that used to make wines for themselves and their friends. The winery is located in Mussolente, Veneto region at a 150-200 mt latitude on a hill surrounded by woods, olive trees and a small pond. The vineyards are settled on the different slopes of the hill and consist of 5 total ha. Their white vines are located in the east because the morning light help them to preserve their acidity and their red vines are located west because the sun exposition until sunset helps to ripe the grapes. They strive to make high quality wines naturally, respecting the environment (organic and biodynamic agriculture) and without using additives or techniques which manipulate the expression of the grapes and the terroir. Every vintage is different and unique!
TASTE: Amber color, on medium to full bodied. On the nose, complex aromas of ripe fruit and balsamic notes. In the mouth, oaky, fresh, beautiful sapidity, clean with pleasant tannic sensation.
